Getting Started

How do I start using WorkBuddy?

Go to https://theworkbuddy.app/go in your browser or download the mobile app. Follow the quick onboarding to set up your workspace, and you're ready to capture contacts!

Do I need to create an account?

Sign up in the app. During onboarding, you'll set up your workspace and invite the first team members - that's it.

What do I need before onboarding?

Bring your team list, sales process basics, and the first few field users who will test voice updates in real client conversations.

Is my data safe?

Yes. Your business data stays customer-owned and is never used to train public AI models. WorkBuddy runs as a secure managed cloud service, with customer/private-infrastructure hosting available for enterprise deployments.

Using WorkBuddy

What types of input does WorkBuddy accept?

WorkBuddy accepts: 1) Voice notes — speak after a meeting and it writes a structured call report, 2) Business card photos — scanned into contacts instantly, 3) Typed text for quick entries, 4) Images of documents. Use whatever is fastest in the field.

How accurate is the AI extraction?

Our AI is highly accurate for well-structured information. It extracts names, emails, phone numbers, company names, and requirements reliably. However, always review the extracted data before confirming - you can edit any field before saving.

Can I edit information after saving?

Yes. You can review, correct, and update captured sales information after saving, including follow-up status and notes.

How does the email draft feature work?

Select a contact and use the email option. Our AI generates a personalized follow-up email based on the contact's context and your previous interactions. You can edit the draft before sending or copy it to your email client.

Can I use voice notes in any language?

Voice notes work in English, Hindi, and Hinglish — built for how Indian field teams actually speak. You can always review and edit the transcription before saving.

Data, Export & Hosting

Where is WorkBuddy hosted?

WorkBuddy can be hosted by us as a WorkBuddy-managed service, or hosted on customer/private infrastructure where that is agreed for the deployment.

Can my company use its own infrastructure?

Yes. For eligible enterprise deployments, WorkBuddy can be deployed on customer/private infrastructure as part of the agreed setup.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Export and portability options are governed by your plan or commercial agreement. We do not use customer business data to train public AI models.

Who owns the data?

The customer owns its business data. WorkBuddy processes it only to provide the agreed product experience and support.

Features & Capabilities

Can I capture contacts from business card images?

Yes! Scan a business card in the app and our Vision AI extracts the contact details automatically — name, company, phone, and email. Works best with good lighting and clear text.

Does WorkBuddy support multiple team members?

Yes. Team members can all contribute to the same workspace while maintaining individual activity tracking. The Teams plan is built for this — managers see all activity live, while each member keeps their own dashboard.

Does WorkBuddy track field visits?

Yes. WorkBuddy logs GPS-tagged visits automatically when you check in, so managers can see real client visits in real time — useful for verifying field activity.

Is there a mobile app?

Yes. WorkBuddy is a React Native application built for mobile-first field sales teams.

Billing & Plans

How much does WorkBuddy cost?

WorkBuddy has two plans. Individual is ₹499 per user per month, unlimited (first month ₹199 for new users on the monthly plan, then ₹499/month). Teams is ₹999 per seat per month, unlimited, and adds full team coordination. Both plans are available on annual billing at ₹416 and ₹833/month respectively — 2 months free. Prices are exclusive of GST (18%). Enterprise plans with SSO, audit logs, and a custom SLA are available — contact ashish@theworkbuddy.app.

Is there a discount to try it?

Yes — your first month on the Individual plan is ₹199 (then ₹499/month). That's about 60% off for new users on the monthly plan. You can also start with a free 7-day trial before paying anything. Your data is always yours to export.

What is included in each plan?

Both plans include the full app with unlimited usage — voice notes that become call reports, business card scanning, company research, pipeline, GPS visits, and the mobile and desktop apps. The only difference is team coordination: Individual is for solo field professionals; Teams (₹999/seat/month) adds manager dashboards, daily AI digest, coaching signals, and leader-level views.

Is it really unlimited?

Yes. Every plan includes unlimited voice notes, card scans, and company research. We apply generous fair-use limits only to stop automated abuse — no normal user will ever reach them.

Troubleshooting

The app isn't responding. What should I do?

First, try refreshing or restarting the app. If that doesn't work, check your internet connection. If the issue persists, contact support at ashish@theworkbuddy.app.

My saved data isn't showing up.

Check that the entry was confirmed after extraction and that your internet connection is stable. If it still does not appear, contact support so we can check your workspace.

Voice notes aren't being transcribed.

Ensure your voice notes are clear with minimal background noise. Very long voice notes (over 2 minutes) may be partially processed. Try shorter, clearer recordings.

Image extraction isn't working well.

For best results: 1) Use good lighting, 2) Hold the camera steady, 3) Make sure text is in focus, 4) Avoid glare or shadows. Business cards work better than handwritten notes.
